He was recently a contestant and winner of LEGO Masters season three in the United States.[1][2] Della Mora and his teammate Stacey Roy are the first Canadian winners of LEGO Masters US.

Early life[edit]

Della Mora was born in Toronto, Canada. He has been building LEGO since he was a child. He started sharing his work online as early as 2007, with his work being recognized by popular LEGO Community blogs like The Brothers Brick[3] and even by The LEGO Movie's official social media page.[4] He then started building professionally on Twitch in 2016.

Career[edit]

Della Mora's career began in 2016 when he decided to start streaming creative LEGO building and video games. Over time gaming streams became less regular and he made LEGO building a focus. His community, known as "Bricksburg" is wholesome, fun, and supportive.

In 2017, Della Mora produced, hosted, and aired the first season of a show called Battle of the Bricks on his Twitch channel. The first-ever live BrickBuilding Competition on Twitch. This brought together other LEGO builders from various online communities as well as other Twitch streamers. Having a total of three seasons, all episodes are still up for viewing on YouTube.[5] Season 2 of Battle of the Bricks was won by Tyler Clites[6], who later went on to win Season 1 of LEGO Masters US.[7] Season 3 of Battle of the Bricks was won by MrsDrLupo, DrLupo's wife, manager, and Charity Director of GCX Event.[8] Later in 2017, Della Mora hosted a community BrickBuilding event for TwitchCon hosted in Long Beach, California where the community came together to build a life-sized Glitch.[9]

In 2018, Della Mora hosted another BrickBuilding event for TwitchCon, this time creating a large-scale mosaic for the event in San Jose.[10]

In the fall of 2019, Della Mora was one of a handful of featured streamers part of the Overwatch Bastion's Brick Challenge event, during which viewers could watch and earn LEGO themed drops for the game.[11]

Over the years, many custom builds created by Della Mora and his content have been featured by Bungie, Apex Legends, NYMag, and NZXT.

Della Mora built and submitted a Tesla,_Inc. Cybertruck project to the LEGO Ideas[12] platform in 2020. It was featured by Car and Driver[13], Motor Trend[14], and other auto blogs, and garnered the necessary 10,000 supporters in just 48 days for the build to be considered to become a real LEGO set. Though it was later not approved as Tesla had a licensing deal with Mega_Brands in place.[15]

Most recently you would have seen Della Mora on LEGO Masters US Season 3. Announced in May 2022, he was revealed to be a contestant on LEGO Masters Season 3 on FOX with partner Stacey Roy.[16]

Della Mora has worked with several charities since 2017 including but not limited to St. Jude, charity: water, and Stand Up To Cancer. He has been part of several large-scale community events, like GCX and DrLupo's Build Against Cancer[17] and TwitchCon both in Long Beach, San Jose, San Diego and Amsterdam.
