Bridging Tech is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by two Stanford University students, Isabel Wang and Margot Bellon, in the spring of 2020.[1] The organization pledged to give devices to children affected by homelessness to address the lack of access to online-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.[1]
In November 2020, Bridging Tech had given out 400 refurbished laptops to the children they worked with, and each donated device was a permanent, rather than loaned, device.[1] Their team used a network of volunteers in order to supply these laptops to homeless shelters.[1] Bridging Tech also created their own academic services, including a tutoring program and mentorship program.[1]
