The British International School of Sulaymaniyah (abbreviated as BIS) is a private British school located in Sulaymaniyah,[1] Iraq.
History[edit]
British International School of Sulaymaniyah was first established in 2011 on Sulaymaniyah Heights, a real estate agency owned by Qaiwan Group.
Issues[edit]
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic,[2] the students were instructed to wear masks and get hand sanitizers with them. On late February 2020, however, the school was closed down, in response to the pandemic. Months later, some teachers weren't paid enough money, and they decided to leave the school. Later, on late October, parents argued about opening the school for their children. So, the school was opened, but did not last more than a week, and the school was closed again. Instead, teachers and students are currently operating with Google Classroom and Google Meet.
