According to the BSMA, membership is open to all UK based doctors and medical students of Somali origin. Associate membership can be obtained by Somali medical students and doctors based abroad, as well as UK based non-Somali healthcare professionals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to furthering healthcare of the Somali community in the UK or abroad..[1]
