Brooks Brannon was born on May 4th, 2004 in Greensboro, North Carolina[1]

Amateur career[edit]

Brannon attended Randleman High School in North Carolina[1]. In his senior season Brannon batted .606 with a 1.974 OPS, 91 RBIs(A state record), and 20 home runs(Tying his father's state record) in 135 plate appearances.[2] Brannon and his team won the 2-A State Championship in 2021 and 2022.[3] Brannon committed to the University of North Carolina.

Professional career[edit]

Brooks Brannon was drafted in the 9th round of the 2022 MLB Draft with the 279 pick by the Boston Red Sox.[4] He signed with the Red Sox on July 29, 2022 for $712,500.[3]

Brannon was assigned to the FCL Red Sox on August 13, 2022.[1] He made his professional debut on the same day going 1 for 2 with a single, 2 RBIs, and a walk in a 16-10 loss to the FCL Twins.[5] He appeared in 5 games for the FCL Red Sox finishing the season batting .462 with 5 hits, 6 RBIs, a .533 OBP, and a 1.379 OPS.[1]
