Brother's Day
National Brother’s Day (also known as Brother’s Day), is observed on 24 May, every year..[1]. The day seeks to celebrate brothers, the sibling bond between male siblings and brotherhood. C. Daniel Rhodes of Alabama founded Brothers Day. Growing up together, getting into trouble, playing games together, the competitiveness between you, all of that strengthens brotherhood connection. The National Brother’s Day is celebration in the Florida. But, today, it is being celebrated across the world in places such as France, Germany, Australia, India, China, Greece, and other nations. This Day is similar to Mother’s Day and Father’s day. The latter two are dedicated to celebration of mothers and fathers, and the former is likewise dedicated to celebrate brothers[2]. National Brother’s Day is different from National Sibling Day, wherein the latter is held on 10 April. The Brother's day was celebrated first time on 24 May, 2005[3]
Celebration of National Brother’s Day[edit]
Like many occasions, the National Brother’s Day is celebrated by commemorating contribution of the male sibling towards his family and friends.[4] In 2017, men of Springfield had come together to celebrate the Brother’s Day by promoting health in their communities[5]. Writers, celebrities, and philosophers have made statements about brothers that can be considered relevant to Brother's Day.[6][7]. Even it is also different to "Religious Brother's Day".
People even make documentaries with their siblings[8], click photos and share it on the social media,[9] and reach out to their brothers at home while deployed in military service.[10]
