The Brothers Keepers gang, founded by Gavinder Grewal in 2017, quickly entered into conflict with rival gangs such as the Red Scorpions, the Hells Angels, the Wolfpack coalition, and the United Nations.[3]
A notable incident occurred on October 27, 2017, when a targeted shooting in Surrey resulted in the death of Randeep "Randy" Kang, a former associate-turned-rival of the Brothers Keepers. Randy's brother, Gary, was also shot but survived the attack. Tyrel Hieu Nguyen Quesnelle, a member of the Brothers Keepers, was identified as the triggerman.[4]
Quesnelle was also responsible for the 2018 shooting of university student Jagvir Malhi in Abbotsford.
