Ian was the one's responsible for organizing the group and starting in creating the Buhay San Miguel comic strips for the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). His siblings, John B and JD, joined with him to create Buhay San Miguel comic strips.

Brothers Matias were also responsible for creating editorial cartoons and human interests, but, sometimes, they used their elder sister, Mary T. Matias, to draw editorial cartoons for the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines newspaper.

Christian Francis Tamayo Matias (12 May 1999, Manila, Philippines) is one of the authors in creating Ang Sampung Utos: Buhay San Miguel. Ian's father, Jesus N. Matias, both work as father and son in creating the comic book.[1][2] Ian is also the author of creating comic strips of Buhay San Miguel and his job was to draw the characters in the Buhay San Miguel comic strips.
Personal life[edit]
He was born at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital last 12 May 1999. He was the second child and eldest brother among his siblings. He was baptized in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, a Catholic Church in Mandaluyong City. Years later, he took his first Holy Communion at the Immaculate Conception Parish when he Grade 3 in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School. When Ian was 12 years old, he and her eldest sister, Mary T. Matias, took the Sacrament of Confirmation in the same parish, where he took his first Holy Communion.
The nickname "Ian" came from the last three letters of Ian's first name "Christian." Ian was mostly used or called by his friends, family, teachers, and relatives.

He transferred from St. Paul College to Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, where he studied and graduated preschool there. After graduating preschool, he transferred to Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School in Cainta, Rizal where he started studying elementary there. After graduating elementary, he decided to continue studying in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School for his Junior and Senior Highschool.

He joined a religious group called Knights of the Altar, where he served every mass at his school and his parish church when he was Grade 4 until now. When he becomes Grade 11 in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School, he was elected as the leader in the Knights of the Altar. In the same year, he joined another religious group called Parish Youth ministry, where he became a member of the mission of the Immaculate Conception Parish Church at Cainta, Rizal.

John Benedict "John B" Tamayo Matias (born 22 December 2000, Manila, Philippines) is one of the Filipino authors and comic writers in creating the CBCP's Buhay San Miguel comic strips. His job was to edit punchlines of each character of the CBCP's Buhay San Miguel comic strips. He was also a Filipino awardee of the Try Prayer It Works! 2015 Creative Contest in Paco, Manila, Metro Manila. He was only Junior Highschool student from Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School, who received the Try Prayer It Works! 2015 Creative Contest national award last 14 October 2015.

He studied preschool in Write N' Play for 3 to 4 years. After graduating preschool by 2007, he transferred to Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School, where he continued studying elementary there. 30 March 2013, John B and the other 99 students graduated elementary. After graduating elementary school, he decided to continue studying in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School for his Junior and Senior Highschool.

When he was at 4th Grade, he joined a religious group called Knights of the Altar, where he served every mass at his school and his parish church. After six years later, he joined another religious group called Parish Youth ministry, where he became a member of the mission of the Immaculate Conception Parish Church at Cainta, Rizal.
Contest[edit]
At his 6th Grade, he joined the national contest which was introduced by the Family Rosary Crusade. The theme of the contest was "Be not afraid." He chose art category, because he had a talent to draw. He expected to win the national contest, but after the nomination of the 2012 winners, he lost.
After three years later, at his 9th Grade, he joined the national contest again, which was also introduced by the Family Rosary Crusade. The theme of the contest was "who is my mother? Who are my Brothers and Sisters?"[4] He didn't chose art category, so he chose another category. The category that he chose was prose category. 14 September 2015, he started creating his prose in his computer and then he submitted his prose to his CLE teacher by the next day. A month later, 14 October 2015, he was nominated as 6th place in 2015 Try Prayer It Works! Family Rosary Crusade national contest. The title of the prose that he created was "Connecting with Jesus", a 4 paragraph essay equivalent to 200 words.
Works: Art, Written, and Film[edit]
John B's first edit work is editing punchlines of each character of the CBCP's Buhay San Miguel, which he worked until now. His second written work is a prose writing entitled "Connecting with Jesus," a prose in which he created and won the nation contest given by the 2015 Try Prayer It Works! Family Rosary Crusade. 2017, John B creates his own account in Wattpad named "JohnBenedictMatias20," wherein he published his typewritten works.

The book was known as the Best Book in Spirituality.[65]
