Bruneau (restaurant)

Bruneau is a restaurant in Brussels, Belgium which has garnered a Michelin[1] star, as well as an 18/20 rating from Gault-Millau.[2] The chef is Jean-Pierre Bruneau, 74 years old in 2017. Bruneau will be closing by the end of January 2018.[3]

The restaurant opened in March 1975, and was awarded a Michelin star in 1977.[4] It retained the star till 1982, when the restaurant was awarded a second star. In 1988 the rating went up to three Michelin stars. It retained the three stars for sixteen years, until 2004, when it went back to two stars.[5] In 2010 it lost its second star, leaving it with just one star.[6][7][8][9][10]

Daniel Rose is a former Bruneau apprentice.[11]
