Bryar Rzgar (born July 23, 1993) is a Kurdish singer-songwriter. His genre-spanning discography, artistic reinventions, and songwriting have received critical praise and wide media coverage. Born in Slemani, Kurdistan, Rzgar moved to the United Kingdom at age 16 to change his life. Fusing exotic Kurdish melodies with perfect hooks, he is currently making his mark on the global music scene. His style is best described as Pop[1] or Reggaeton[2], though he is always pushing boundaries to create a fresh, new style that is distinctly his, with much of his songs talking about subjects like life, love, and patriotism. Bryar is working on branching out into other styles like hip-hop[3] and Trap[4], something currently unheard of in Kurdish music. Much of his childhood was spent singing along with his father. In 2015, his brother shared his music on YouTube, and it garnered over a million views. It was from here that he realized music was the path for him, and he has since worked tirelessly to become a fully-fledged recording artist.
