The Budapest International Documentary Festival (BIDF) is an international documentary film festival held every year in Budapest, Hungary.[1][2][3] The festival was founded in 2014 by producer Rita Balogh and film director Ágnes Sós.[4][5] Submissions for the festival have no thematic restrictions, and the awards for the films in competition are given by an international jury.[6] It is one of the two documentary film festivals in the country, the other being Verzió which has its thematic focus on human rights.[7]
