BUG FILMS Inc. (株式会社バグフィルム, Kabushiki-gaisha Bagu Firumu) is a Japanese animation studio established on September 22, 2021 as a subsidiary of Twin Engine.

History

Bug Films was established in September 2021 by Hiroaki Kojima, who was producing anime like MIX, Major 2nd, and Bungo and Alchemist -Gears of Judgement- at OLM.[2] Most of the studio's staff are former members of Kojima's production arm at OLM.

In its first year, Bug Films helped produce the anime series Komi Can't Communicate and Summer Time Rendering, fulfilling prior obligations at OLM. Kojima founded the studio to "create work worthy of the viewer" and to strengthen Twin Engine's production pipeline for global expansion.[3]
