Bukola Ogunyemi (born Olaitan Bukola Ogunyemi on 1 July 1987) is a Nigerian digital marketing executive and online reputation management consultant. Ogunyemi's articles have appeared in major national dailies in Nigeria, including ThisDay and The Punch and several international media platforms.[1][2][3][4] He is also a columnist for AfricanLiberty

Early Life And Education[edit]

The youngest of four children, Bukola Ogunyemi was born in Ibadan. He attended Fakunle Comprehensive High School in Osogbo, and School of Science, Imesi-Ile before obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. As a student, Ogunyemi was a recipient of the prestigious Shell Nigeria Undergraduate Scholarship (National Merit) from 2004 to 2008.[5]

Career[edit]

Between 2014 and 2015 Ogunyemi served as Head of Social Media at Chocolate City, one of the biggest music labels in Africa. In that capacity he managed the social media accounts of four time grammy award nominee Femi Kuti and other notable artistes such as MI Abaga and Ice Prince. Ogunyemi is a Hootsuite certified social media professional [6] In August 2015, Ogunyemi was one of the 10 delegates sponsored by African Liberty who represented Nigeria at the 9th edition Students & Young Professionals African Liberty Academy at the University of Ghana Business School in Accra, Ghana.[7] In June 2016, Ogunyemi, alongside popular blogger and social commentator Japheth Omojuwa, spoke on subsidies and corruption in Africa at the 3rd African Students For Liberty East African Regional Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.[8]

Some of Ogunyemi's articles have been translated to French and featured on international media platforms.[9][10]

SIGMA Media[edit]

Ogunyemi is the Chief Executive Officer of SIGMA Media & Associates, an online reputation management company based in Lagos. He is also the Editor-In-Chief of The Cornet Ogunyemi is a member of the Central Working Committee of The Future Africa Awards

Bukola Ogunyemi is married to Tolulope Awodiya.[11]
