Bullying is a 2025 independent Canadian short action-drama film. It was directed, edited, and scored by Kai Chartier, and co-written by Chartier and Zachary LeBaron. The film is notable for its deliberate use of a goofy and non-serious style to portray serious themes of school violence and its consequences.
Plot
The film opens with the protagonist, Jeff (Zachary LeBaron), walking toward his class. He is intercepted by Troy (Zachary LeBaron), who initiates a confrontation by calling him a "loser" and quickly punching him. Jeff questions why Troy bullies him every day, and Troy explicitly responds that he "wants to torture him." Jeff fights back, leading to a violent altercation.
The fight escalates until Troy gains the upper hand, pinning Jeff on a set of stairs and placing him in a chokehold. Despite Jeff pleading to be released, Troy refuses. In a desperate move, Jeff breaks free and punches Troy in the groin. Infuriated, Troy delivers a brutal kick to Jeff’s head, resulting in Jeff’s death. Troy immediately flees the scene to avoid being caught, which concludes the main film.
The film includes an after-credits scene where a character named David (Kai Chartier) discovers Jeff's lifeless body. Instead of taking any action, David simply walks away.
