Bumhunting
Bumhunting is a term used in the poker world, especially online, which refers to the act of selective participation at a poker table based on the strength of the players. A "bumhunter" will only take a seat at an online heads-up cash game table and refuses to play anyone who is not a weak opponent in their opinion.
History
In 2020, GGPoker confiscated $130,000 in winnings and banned a German poker pro Tobias Duthweiler from all its network[1] for bumhunting. Tobias Duthweiler was first banned on Natural8 for bumhunting and "warned not to attempt to play on GGNetwork" again. When the poker pro ignored the warning and played on GGPoker, which was under GGNetwork, the same network that Natural8 is under, GGPoker banned and confiscated all his winnings.
