Bunda C. Chibwe
Bunda Chitungy Chibwe has been a member of the Council of Twelve Apostles of the Community of Christ since 2000.
Chibwe was born in Lubunda, Zambia. He was educated at the Kananga School of Theology in Kananga, Democratic Republic of the Congo and at Park University in Missouri. He became a full-time minister for the Community of Christ in 1982. Prior to becoming an apostle of the church, Chibwe was the president of the church's Sixth Quorum of Seventy and was the president of the church in Zambia.
Chibwe is fluent in English, French, and seven African languages. He is married to Jenny Kumwimba Mpoyo and is the father of five children. The Chibwes live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
