Buried Menace is the thirteenth episode of the British short-lived Television Series Skiboy. The episode first aired on 10 June 1974 on ITV.
Plot
Bobbie and Sadie are with a filmmaker making a documentary on the mountains of Saint-Luc. But, while he stands back, he falls into a pit, where a bomb lands on him, leaving him stuck. The village is alerted, and Jacques figures out that it must have been a bomb during the Second World War that landed in the snow and just kept being buried by snow. But now that the bomb is moving again, it is now a menace. A girl journalist even has made her way quickly to Saint-Luc, taking the opportunity for a scoop. Meanwhile, Jacques gets into communication with an arms expert on an airplane to Milan. Jean gets into a snowcat and rushes to the scene to inform Bobbie that Jacques has found help. Bobbie is sent into the hole with some tools and some radio equipment, to relay Jacques who will tell the arms expert's instructions to the young man. The only problem is that he can't talk back to Jacques to repeat, which means that he will have to listen very carefully. The journalist arrives and starts taking pictures, but Jean orders her to put the camera down. After having followed every instruction carefully, Bobbie is now at the stage to block the gears of the bomb. Bobbie asks Jean if he has anything to block the gears, and he rips the journalist's tape out of the camera and sends it to Bobbie, who stops the bomb successfully. The filmmaker is taken out of his hole, exhausted, but happy to be alive.
Production
The episode was filmed during January 1974, presumably, and produced five months later on 10 June. This episode, along with Hot Ice, are the only two episodes fully available, both on YouTube.
