Jared Tompkins, known professionally as c0nvexity, is an American music producer.

c0nvexity is known for calling himself a "music scientist," heavily using advanced theory and harmonic minor dominant chords in his works. He has achieved first place in the Creative/Innovative category at the 6th Annual Horry County Schools Technology Fair for his single "Cutlery Clash."[1][2]

Career

In March 2012, c0nvexity began to create electronic dance music using a digital audio workstation called Renoise, starting with no knowledge of production.

On July 17, 2013, c0nvexity gave his first major facelift to his PR, changing his official logo to correlate with his newfound skills.

On August 25, 2013, c0nvexity Independent Releases was founded and released the first signed single, "Quasar."[3]

On August 20, 2014, c0nvexity began a remix competition for his single "Vortex," creating the "Vortex Returns" EP with remixes from AstroSteps, Wontolla, Shogun Taira, Cosmic Dream, and Drugbite.[4]

On March 24, 2015, c0nvexity's single "Cutlery Clash" achieved first place in the Creative/Innovative category at the 6th Annual Horry County Schools Technology Fair.[1][2] On April 5, 2015, c0nvexity began a remix competition for "Cutlery Clash," creating the "Cutlery Clash - The Remixes" EP with remixes from IOZE, Kerosyn, Shogun Taira, QUESTT, and Cosmic Dream. This EP also marked the first EP where c0nvexity used Logic Pro X for production.[5]

On June 5, 2015, c0nvexity gave his most recent facelift to his PR, changing his official logo to correlate with his change of DAW.

On December 1, 2015, c0nvexity released his debut EP, "Breach," on major stores, the first EP signed to his label c0nvexity Independent Releases. There is currently a remix competition for this EP for the upcoming "Breach: Retry Operation" EP.[6]
