CDMQ
Commercially Derived - Military Qualified (CDMQ) is a process by which a business (example: FLIR[clarification needed]) selling technology to the government creates technology using their own research & development funds, develops it into a product, and then certifies it to military standards for sale to the government. This is in contrast to the common practice of seeking to win a government contract to research technology and then deliver a product under a government program of record.
