CIGNEX Datamatics, formerly Cignex, is a privately held IT company headquartered in Livonia, Michigan.[5] It provides business process outsourcing services with open-source software. Cignex has development centers in Ahmedabad, Gurugram and Bangalore in India.[6][7]

Cignex was founded in 2000.[8] It was founded by Harish Ramachandran, Manish Sheladia, Munwar Shariff and Amit Babaria.[9] In 2006, venture capital firm Basil Partners invested in Cignex.[10] In April 2010 Cignex formed a joined venture with Datamatics Global Services[11] and merged AGS Technology to form Cignex Holding Corporation.[12] Jeff Colvin from AGS became chief executive at that time.[13]
In 2011, the company was acquired by Datamatics Global Services and changed its name to CIGNEX Datamatics.[4] Vijay Iyer became chief executive in May 2014.[14] David Schmittlein joined the board of directors in 2015.[3]

CIGNEX Datamatics uses marketing terms like open source,[3][15] Web portal, enterprise content management and big data.[16] The company claims to have more than 450 enterprise implementations globally.[17][18][19] It presently[when?] has 22 offices across 9 countries[16][20] including UK, Germany, India, Singapore and Australia.[21]
The company markets a Franchise Management Platform (FMP),[22] Digital Employee Engagement Platform (DEEP),[22] and Reputation Management Platform (RMP).[23]
