COLA Animation is a Portuguese animation cooperative that works for the purpose of promoting and sharing knowledge in the area of animation across Portugal.[1][2]
The work of the cooperative includes the production of animated short films, animation for advertising or institutional films, and animated content for theatre plays or live events.
History
The company was founded in 2015 as a collective (Col.A), and became a cultural cooperative in 2018.
With their 2022 short film Ice Merchants, they were shortlisted for the 95th Academy Awards in the category 'Best Animated Short'.[3]
