CVS Lookbook

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

CVS Lookbook is an electronic wireless reader that was offered for sale by the CVS/pharmacy corporation starting in the fall of 2010. It is a platform for reading electronic texts, including more than 2 million books, many of which are free, as well as newspapers and magazines.

The Lookbook is a redesigned and rebadged version of the Sharper Image Corporation's Literati platform.

It uses WiFi and USB to access the content that is available for the device. Unlike some other eReaders, it does not have the feature to use a cellular telephone network to access data.

It relies on Kobo’s ebook service to access the electronic texts, and it has a color screen. For navigation it relies on a trackball-like device near the qwerty based keyboard. The trackball is near the lower right corner of the device.

It has received negative reviews on the Engadget website, but the device that Engadget reviewed does not have color, so they may have reviewed the wrong device.
