Cacticals are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Cacticalia. Cacticals are characterized by their conduction of photosynthesis and their ability to ingest food using their unusual gastrointestinal tract. New scientific evidence suggests that Cacticals may actually share a common ancestor with both plants and animals.
Etymology[edit]
"Cactical" is an amalgamation of the words "cactus" and "animal" as the first specimens ever conceived of had phenotypes very similar to cacti, despite also having the gastointestinal tract similar to animals.
Diet[edit]
Because of the high fiber demands required by the Cactical digestive system, these organisms may frequently become constipated if enough fiber is not consumed orally. In particularly dire scenarios, cacticals can eat themselves to maintain their daily fiber requirements.
Fossil Record[edit]
No fossil records of Cacticals have to this day been found, though scientists continue to search diligently.
