The Cameron House Hotel fire occurred on 18 December 2017. The hotel had 200 guests. At around 06:40am a fire broke out in the centre of the hotel. 200 guests were evacuated and 70 firefighters tackling were fire. Two people died as a result and three taken to hospital. The hotel was substantially damaged in the fire and an investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.[1][2][3]
