History[edit]

Campers Inn was originally founded in 1966 in Acton, Massachusetts under the name Nashoba Valley Trailers.[5] The company was founded by Art and Fran Hirsch and has been owned and operated by the Hirsch family since the company's inception.[6] In 1977, the company expanded into southern New Hampshire, took on the name Campers Inn, and quickly became one of the New England's largest retailers.[7] In the 1980s and 1990s, the company continued its expansion in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and it solidified its position as the regions largest RV retailer. In 2003-2005, the company consolidated several locations before opening up stores in Southeast United States in 2006-2008. The company's most recent expansions include locations in Mocksville, North Carolina[8] and Kings Mountain, North Carolina.[9] The company now has locations across the Eastern US in states such as New Hampshire, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.[10]
