Can't Slow Down is the upcoming third studio album by Canadian musician Josh Kenney. It is his first studio album since Clipping Through Reality, two years earlier. It is a return to new wave and Pop Rock genres.
Background
In September, Josh Kenney announced a return to Rock. "Rap has been a fun gimmick I enjoyed doing, but my time with Rap is over. It steered away from Bayers Lake, and my solo career. But now, I am returning to Rock, I feel more fresh creatively with the tools I learned over the year, and I can't wait to start work on a new project I can enjoy while putting my school up-front and this in the background."
Josh also stated about the album, "I think this album is really simple, but very connective with the problems in relationships, desires, and unforgettable experiences that not just impacts my life but everyone else's"
Josh stated that this album is influenced off of the Cars, saying, "I think there is a generation that needs to hear some new Wave stuff. I am only 17, and I am obsessed with the Cars. This album is very inspired off of the trip I went through listening to them."
Artwork
About the artwork, Josh stated, "Its what I like, I am a racing fan, and a music fan. It is influenced off of Heartbeat City, but, like I said, it isn't like Heartbeat City. I like rock, I like cars, and I like racing, it sums it up in one."
