The Canadian Nuclear Heritage Museum is a volunteer-run history and heritage museum located in Deep River, Ontario, Canada dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history and contributions of the Canadian nuclear science and technology industry, with a particular focus on the region's role in the development of nuclear energy.
History
Efforts to establish a museum dedicated to Canadian nuclear heritage began as early as 1959 ,[1] and culminated in the Society for the Preservation of Canada's Nuclear Heritage, which was incorporated as a nonprofit charitable organization in 2017.[2] Work then began on collection and preservation of books, photographs, and artifacts with the goal of establishing a physical museum in Deep River.[3] Once established, the museum began accepting visitors in 2021. Since its founding, the museum and society have participated in educational initiatives,[4] conservation efforts,[5] and contribute expertise relating to Canadian nuclear history.[6][7]

The museum features exhibits highlighting:
- The history of the Chalk River Laboratories.
- The development of CANDU reactors.
- The contributions of Indigenous communities in the region.
- Artifacts from the early days of nuclear research in Canada.
- Books, pamphlets, and reports relating to Canadian nuclear research.
