Capify is an alternative finance company finance company operating out of the United Kingdom. The company offers a range of financial products tailored to the unique requirements of (SMEs)..[1][2]

Initially, Capify focused on providing Merchant cash advance (Also known as MCAs), which are a form of business loan repaid through a percentage of a business's daily card sales. This approach allowed businesses to access funds based on their expected future revenue. In 2008, Capify expanded its offerings to include traditional small business loans, catering to a broader range of financing needs.

Capify is headquartered in Altrincham, Manchester. Additionally, the company operates a second office in Parramatta, Australia.

David Goldin founded AmeriMerchant in 2002, which later became Capify. AmeriMerchant was an online alternative finance company that specialised in revenue advance services for small businesses. He is also one of the primary founders and former President of the Small Business Finance Association (SBFA)[3], formerly known as the North American Merchant Advance Association (NAMAA).[4] In 2008, the company expanded to the UK under the brand United Kapital and as AUSvance in Australia.

In 2015, the company underwent a global rebranding, combining all brands into the single brand of Capify.[5]

In 2017, the US arm of the business was sold to enable Capify to focus on the UK and Australian markets.[6]

In 2019, Capify announced that it had secured a £75 million credit facility from Goldman Sachs to fund its growth strategy.[7]

In 2022 Capify relaunched its Quarterly SME Business Confidence Survey and developed a confidence index linked to the results.

In 2023 Capify was shortlisted in the Business Moneyfacts Awards for "Best Alternative Business Funding Provider"[8] In the same year, Capify UK was also shortlisted[9] and won the Credit Awards "SME Lender of the Year - Lending up to £1 million" award.[10]

Products and services[edit]

Capify offers financing services to small and medium-sized businesses, including business loans and merchant cash advances, also known as revenue advances. The company offers business loans of up to £500,000, typically loans are offered to business owners who have trouble getting funded from traditional banks.

Merchant cash advances are provided to businesses with capital based on a percentage of future credit and debit card sales. Repayments are made automatically through the business's payment processing system.
