Plot[edit]
Captain Crimson and his crew are fictional sci fi comic book characters created by an artist called Jeff. When Jeff develops writer's block, his son Tom and his friend Amy attempt to finish the strip for him - but accidentally spill black ink on the final panel of the story. This creates a black hole, and the Captain is sent through it real life, where they must then prevent him from being discovered.[6]
The educational goals of the program inclded "improve pupil's writing through stimulating fictional writing", as well as improving their spelling, grammar and vocabulary.[7] A tie-in computer game for school use was created by Logotron for PC Win, Mac and Acorn computers[8], as well as a book for pupils with activities.
Comic strip illustrations in the serial and continuity slides were created by Mark Bennington[9]
