Carlos Baradello
Carlos Baradello is an investor, corporate advisor, public speaker, and university professor. He is a member of faculty at Hult International Business School, the University of San Francisco, the Danish Technical University, Peru’s CENTRUM Católica, and the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. He is also a founder and General Partner of ALAYA-CP, Cordoba, and founder and managing partner of Sausalito Ventures.[1][2][3][4][5]
Early life and education[edit]
Baradello was born in Argentina. He holds a degree in engineering from Argentina's University of Cordoba, an MSc from the Eindhoven University of Technology and a PhD in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.[4]
Career[edit]
Baradello is a member of faculty at Hult International Business School, where he lectures on social innovation, corporate innovation, and global entrepreneurship.[6] He previously held executive roles at ITT, NYNEX, Digital Equipment Corporation, Advanced Fibre Communications, and Motorola, where he was the company’s Corporate Vice President for the Latin America and Caribbean region.[7][8]
Baradello previously served as Associate Dean for Global and Executive Programs at the University of San Francisco, where he founded the university’s Silicon Valley Immersion Program.[9]
He is the founder and General Partner of ALAYA-CP, Cordoba, Argentina's first venture capital firm, and founder and managing partner of Sausalito Ventures, which positions Latin American ventures to scale globally.
Awards and Recognition[edit]
Baradello received the 2001 Professional Distinction Award from Córdoba Technology Cluster in Argentina. In 1999, he was a distinguished nominee for the HENAAC Executive Excellence Award, which recognizes executive leadership in STEM fields.[4]
Personal Life[edit]
Baradello lives with his wife Ana in Tiburon, Northern California and has four grown children.[4]
