Carnival Motion Pictures is an Indian film production and distribution company, founded by Dr. Shrikant Bhasi. It is a decade-old vertically integrated organization with a strong foothold in the Cinema Industry with a plethora of services under one roof. Carnival Motion Pictures is part of Carnival Group, a multinational business entity with diversified interests in Cinema Exhibition, Movie Production, Distribution, Hospitality, Entertainment and Event Management.[1]

Feature Films

Carnival Motion Pictures has been producing films since 2011. It forayed into production by producing a Malayalam movie called Violin, a musical romance film, starring Asif Ali and Nithya Menon. Carnival Motion Pictures has produced many diverse films in Malayalam like Second Show in 2012, which was an action crime film starring Dulquer Salmaan and Gauthami Nair, Matinee (2012) starring Maqbool Salmaan and Mythilli. In 2013, they produced a film called Hangover directed by Sreejith Sukumaran. In December 2015, they produced Adi Kapyare Kootamani, which was a Malayalam comedy horror film. On 13 May 2016, they released Mudhugauv. Their recent Malayalam release was Edakkad Battalion 06 starring Tovino Thomas and Samyuktha Menon.[2]

In 2013, Carnival Motion Pictures ventured into Bollywood by producing War Chhod Na Yaaro, starring Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali Khan. The movie was released on 11 October 2013.[3] Carnival Motion Pictures in 2017 made a comeback in Bollywood by producing a biography on Sachin Tendulkar titled ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’. Sachin Tendulkar himself starred in this movie and also gave a narration in the film. This captures Tendulkar's cricket and personal life in substantial detail, as well as reveals aspects of his life which have never been heard of or seen before. In January 2019, they released ‘Thackeray’ based on the life of Shiv Sena leader, Balasaheb Thackeray. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the lead role. In the same year, on 3 May, they released Blank starring Karan Kapadia, son of former Indian actress Simple Kapadia.[4]
