Carson Optical is an American multinational optics company that designs and distributes a range of products including microscopes, binoculars, and magnifiers. Its headquarters are in Ronkonkoma, New York.
Company Background[edit]
Carson Optical was founded by Richard Cameron in 1991.[1] Cameron began by importing binoculars from Japan and selling them to dealers.[2] These original binoculars were created by an optics manufacturer in Japan called Copitar.[3] Today, Carson Optical designs its own products.[2] In 2014, the company expanded its headquarters with a move to Ronkonkoma, New York to accommodate more warehouse space and the company's growing engineering department.
