Case Baker[2] (born May 9, 1998)[3] better known as CaseOh, is an American internet personality. Baker is well-known for his content on various social media platforms, such as Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. Baker began to obtain popularity during late 2022 into early 2023, when clips from his live streams began gaining fame on TikTok.[4][unreliable source?]

Early and personal life[edit]

Baker was born in Dallas County, Arkansas[2] in 1998.[3] He has two brothers. According to one writer, he "isn’t too open" about his private life.[2]

In 2018, Baker began to take an increased interest in gaming and content creation. He started streaming games like the NBA 2K series and uploaded content on Twitch and TikTok.[5]

Internet career[edit]

Baker manages multiple accounts on popular content platforms such as TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube, where he has millions of followers. His first streams started in 2018, four years before his popularity gains.[5]

Beginning in late 2022, clips from Bakers' Twitch streams began to go viral on TikTok. The majority of the viral clips consisted of him playing games, and reacting to comments viewers sent about Baker, mostly consisting of insults about his weight. Baker reacted positively to these comments, and further encouraged people to make weight-related jokes about him. Some of these clips gained millions of views on TikTok, drawing attention to the previously unknown streamer.[2]

Baker’s social accounts experienced an increase of recognition, gaining thousands of new followers every week. The accounts continued growing at a fast pace[6] thanks to the widespread memes published about his Twitch streams. As of March 2024, Baker is ranked as one of the Top 5 most popular Twitch streamers and the most popular variety streamer by ESports Illustrated,[7] which is an increase in his rank from one week prior.[8] While Baker’s exact earnings from his internet career are unknown, it is estimated that Baker earns $65,000 – $117,000 USD per month from Twitch subscription revenue.[9]

Bakers' collaborations with other popular streamers such as Kai Cenat[10] and his podcasts with Jynxzi have further increased his popularity among the streaming community.[11]

As of 2024, Baker is currently a partner on Twitch.[9]

Awards and nominations[edit]

In January 2024, Baker was nominated for multiple awards[12][13][14] for the 2024 Streamer Awards, and won one award.[15] Baker was nominated for Streamer of the Year, Best Variety Streamer, and Breakthrough Streamer. Although he did not win the Streamer of the Year and Breakthrough Streamer awards, he won the Best Variety Streamer award on February 17th, 2024.[16] He has also received both the silver and gold YouTube play buttons for earning 100,000 subscribers in 2023 and subsequently reaching 1,000,000 subscribers in early 2024.
