Akinde earned a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Lagos, and a Masters in London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London.[2]

Career

Akinde has over 8 years of working experience in the health development sector across Europe and Sub Sahara Africa.[3] She began her career with Lagos State Government as a Medical Officer where she served as first line officer for diagnosis and management of patients, then served as the Executive Director of The Neo Child Initiative for Africa.[4][5]

Akinde is the executive director of The Neo Child Initiative; a non profit organization which advocates for child health promotion and sustainable education to empower future leaders with healthy choices by improving access to healthcare in underserved environments.[6][7] She has led and managed global projects on areas including WASH, menstrual health, adolescent health, maternal, infant, and young children nutrition and neglected tropical diseases.[8][9]
