Casse Noisette Suite is a 1909 album played by Palace Theatre Orchestra and conducted by Herman Finck. The album is a recording of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker suite, and possibly the earliest recording of a complete classical work, though Arthur Nikisch's 1913 recording of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is often considered this.
The album is also the earliest standard album listed on Rate Your Music, although the HMV recording of Ernani predates it by 6 years.
The album is extremely rare, and currently the only parts of the album that are widely available are sides 1-3 and 7-8 (which were uploaded to YouTube in 2012)[1].
