Harrison previously served as the county tax collector. As the tax collector, she addressed a $14 million in back taxes owed to the county in 2015. Her office was then credited with collecting $243,000 in back taxes in 2016.[6] She was appointed by the Arkansas Supreme Court to serve on the court's Committee on Security and Emergency Preparedness in December 2019. The term will expire on September 30, 2022.[7][8][9]
