Cathy Shim (born April 6, 1984) is a Korean-American actress,[1] comedian, and film producer.

Shim was born on April 6, 1984 in Seoul, South Korea. Her family emigrated to America when she was three years old. She performed in piano competitions at the age of five, and at age seven, received a full scholarship to R.D. Colburn School of Performing Arts (Los Angeles). While studying piano at the University of Southern California, she created a singing group called "Unity" with two friends. A Korean talent scout invited them to perform in Korea, where they toured for five months. On her return, Shim added theatre minors to her studies and graduated with a degree in kinesiology.[2]

She has appeared on a variety of television shows, most notably Reno 911!, MADtv[1] and Drake & Josh. She can currently be seen on TruTv's Fameless.

She also solves and collects jigsaw puzzles, knits, and makes jewelry.[2]
