Causeway Films is a film production company founded by Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings in Sydney, NSW, in 2014. It is known for award-winning feature films such as The Babadook (2014), The Nightingale (2018) and Talk to Me (2022).

History[edit]

Causeway Films was founded by Ceyton and Jennings in 2014[1][2] after The Babadook had been accepted into the 2014 Sundance Film Festival[3]. Producer Alex White joined the pair in 2020.[4] The company signed a development deal with UK sales company Bankside Films in 2021.[5]

Causeway Films are "well known to Australian horror film fans"[6], having produced The Babadook, The Nightingale, Cargo and Talk to Me.[6]
