Cavendish boulevard is a boulevard that spans Saint-Laurent, Côte Saint-Luc and Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. It is seperated into 2 parts, one from Henri-Bourassa to Dalton and one from Wallenberg to Saint-Jacques by the CP rail yard. The 104 Cavendish and 138 Nôtre-Dame-De-Grace bus lines serves one half of the boulevard from the Quartier Cavendish shopping centre to Atwater station.

Notable places on Cavendish[edit]

The Quartier Cavendish mall is on the Côte-Saint-Luc half of Cavendish located at Cavendish/Mackle while another shopping mall, Place Vertu is located on the Saint-Laurent side of the boulevard. Cavendish is an important street for Saint-Laurent’s industrial park, an IKEA is located in the industrial park at Cavendish/Griffith.

Cavendish extension project[edit]

There is an extension project to link both segments of Cavendish, a project that has been requested for over 50 years. Residents of Côte-Saint-Luc have been requested this because there is no direct access from Côte-Saint-Luc to Saint-Laurent and people would have to detour to the very busy Décarie Boulevard to reach Saint-Laurent. The extension would also create an intersection between Cavendish boulevard and Royalmount avenue which is in the Town of Mont Royal and potentially an intersection between Royalmount avenue and Paré street. Former mayor Denis Coderre has shut down the project however the Plante administration has restarted this project but a company is building a factory in the place of the extension and is waiting for the TMR to give them construction approval.
