The Cavite Bible Baptist Academy is a non-sectarian school in Cavite City, Philippines. It uses the curriculum known as the School of Tomorrow system. The Reverend Arnold Arellano, pastor of the Cavite Bible Baptist Church, is administrator and principal of the school.

History[edit]

In 1958, a missionary couple, Rev. and Mrs. Bill Anderson came to Cavite City and started a mission using their home at Certeza Court, Caridad, Cavite City as a place for worship. To creatye a Baptist church in Cavite City, Rev. Anderson rented a building along Lopez Jana Street corner Rivero Street, San Roque, which was formerly the Cosmopolitan College.

On July 17, 1960, Cavite Bible Baptist Church (CBBC) was organized with then Governor Montano of Cavite and Mayor Fidel Dones of Cavite City as guests of honour.

In 1961, through the leadership of Rev. Anderson a property was purchased and a building constructed, named Cavite Bible Baptist Church and Schools. Only a few years after the church's establishment, it had produced two missionaries, Bro. Fred London and Bro. Ben Caachay. The then Associate Pastor, bro. Rene London is now a full-fledged Pastor of a Baptist church in Sapang Palay, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. For twelve years, Rev. Bill Anderson with wife Mrs. Donna Anderson stood as the leader of CBBC.

In 1972 a German-American preacher named Rev. Delbert Hooge came to take over as the Anderson Family had to leave for the United States due to health problems. Rev. Hooge and his wife Mrs. Lora Lee Woosely Hooge led the church for sixteen years.

In 1985, the CBBC building was destroyed by a fire due to electrical wiring. Financial support began flooding in and soon a new church auditorium was constructed.

Under Rev. Hooge, a Filipino preacher, Rev. Dioscoro Mutya become an Associate Pastor. Two American missionaries also became part of the ministry: namely Rev. Paul Byars and Rev. Roger Riley.

In 1988 Rev. Hooge went home to the U.S. for a furlough and Rev. Arnold Arellano took over the leadership in the same year.

When Rev. Arnold D. Arellano took over the helm in 1988, the church was experiencing financial difficulties. The administrator worked out the completion of the property, such as the repair of the auditorium ceiling and installation of marble flooring on the first floor of the auditorium. Thus, in a short time, the church was in tip top shape again.

The PHP 2.5Million Cavite Bible Baptist Church Academy Building was inaugurated in 1994. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by former NBI Director and then Governor of Cavite, Hon. Epimaco Velasco, former Cavite Governor Hon. Lino Bocalan and the City Mayor, Mayor Tim Encarnicion.

In more recent times, Rev. Arellano had a vision of a building, and through the dedication and commitment of faculty, members and students, a new building for the academy was officially opened on July 16, 2011.

The CBBA School of Tomorrow System is for students of all ages, from preschool through two years of college.
