Cengiz AKYILDIZ (born January 2, 1981 in Istanbul, Turkey), is a professional ice hockey player, who currently plays defence for the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League's Ice Pirates Hockey Club and Turkey national men's ice hockey team.[1] Cengiz also played for the Canterbury Red Devils,shirt number 25 in defence. First and only Turkish ice hockey player played with ITC in Southern hemisphere and same season won the New Zealand cup (2009-2010 season) also has New Zealand citizenship.
Currently player/coach senior, women and junior team Istanbul Ice Pirates Hockey club.
Played BHL since 2012.[2]
