Cesar R. Hernandez is an American entrepreneur, Managing Director and Founder of Omni Public The Firm of the Future© within Florida.[1]

Early Life[edit]

Cesar R. Hernandez is originally from Brooklyn, New York. His family is originally from Guatemala and are descendants of the ancient K'iche' a Mayan tribe.[2][3][4] Cesar is first generation born American. His grandmother was a seamstress and his mother a cashier.[5] In high school Cesar was a mediator and prevented gang violence from happening in his school. In 2008 Cesar had lost his best friend, his fiance left him, he was homeless and broke. Cesar felt that on a spiritual level he didn't deserve to have anything because he lacked gratitude for his life and blessings.[6] He later moved to Tampa, Florida where he currently resides.[7][8]

Education[edit]

Cesar graduated with a Bachelor's of the Arts degree in Biomedical Science and Political Science along with Economics from the University of South Florida Tampa campus in 2011.

After finishing his education at USF Cesar was admitted to the Hesselbein Global Academy founded by Frances Hesselbein.[9]

In 2017 Cesar attended the MBA program at Brown University but left the program early to found Omni Public.

In 2020 he enrolled in Oxford Saïd Business School.

Career[edit]

Cesar is the President of the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber of Commerce.[10][11]

Founder and Managing Director of Omni Public The Firm of the Future©, Cesar is a rising star in the emerging markets of Tampa Bay and beyond.[12][13] Cesar has built a name for himself in areas of strategy, public affairs and public relations.[14][15][16] Most recently serving on Mayor Jane Castor's Transportation Advisory Committee and Task Force on Racial Justice.[17] He has advised various government agencies, public officials, and political candidates. His work has been featured in Forbes, Inc. (magazine), Entrepreneur (magazine), Disrupt and he is published in the University of Oxford, Oxford Strategy Review.[18][19] Omni Public has worked with companies such as Tesla Motors, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Ford Motors, Bird Rides, and advising various entrepreneurial support organization such as the Tampa Bay Wave, Synapse Florida and Tampa Bay Ventures.[20]

Previously he was Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority Director of Government Affairs. As HART Director of Government Affairs, Cesar led an initiative to get HyperLink in Carollwood, the University Area and Brandon making Hillsborough County the first place in the nation to utilize Tesla vehicles as a public transit solution.[21][22][23]

Prior to that he was legislative aid to then Tampa City Council member Lisa Montelione.[24][25]

As the community engagement officer for the University Area Community Development Corp he developed an outreach program to mediate and head off violence between gangs.[8][26][27] While at the University Area CDC he put together a documentary 'The Prometheus Project' which would later be shown at the Gasparilla International Film Festival.[28][29]

He is a former University of South Florida student body president.[30] While he was student body president Cesar sought to raise money for an orphanage in Kolongo, Uganda working with Dr. Achorra Vincintina.[31][32] Cesar gave a 24 hour speech while student body president to bring attention to budget cuts for education and immigration issues.[33][34][35][36] Cesar also helped raise $10,000 for Haiti relief efforts.[37][38] Cesar won a policy award at the Education Without Borders competition in Dubai for his presentation on immigration issues and millennials.[39][40][41] Cesar went to Washington D.C. and the White House at the personal invitation from the President Barack Obama.[42] One of the debates for the 2010 U.S. Senate and Florida Gubernatorial races were hosted at USF during his tenure.[43]
