Chad Austin Davis (born May 26, 1991) is an American television personality. He is known as the only son of Kim Richards and for appearing on the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Early life[edit]

Chad Austin Davis was born in Los Angeles, California on May 26, 1991, as the younger of two children to Gregg Davis, a businessman, and Kim Richards, an actress. His elder sister is Whitney Davis. He has two maternal half-sisters; Brooke Brinson and Kimberly Jackson.[1]

Family[edit]

Davis's cousins through his aunt Kyle Richards are; Farrah Brittany, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky. He is also related to the Hilton family, through his aunt Kathy Hilton's marriage to uncle Richard Hilton; his cousins are Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Barron Hilton II, and Conrad Hilton III. His maternal grandparents were Ken Richards, a retired lieutenant colonel, and Kathleen Richards, a casting director.[1] His paternal grandparents were Marvin Davis, a businessman, and are Barbara Davis, a billionaire philanthropist.[2]

Career[edit]

Davis made his television debut in October 2010, on the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He made his final appearance in 2014.[3]

Personal life[edit]

Davis[4] was admitted to a psychiatric facility in the South Bay area of Los Angeles on March 12, 2015,[5] after he was spotted roaming the streets naked and talking incoherently. He checked out on March 31 and was living in a group home.[6]

Davis was sued in 2016 for assault and battery, gross negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress over an alleged dog attack and alleged conspiracy to cover it up.[7] The lawsuit was settled in April 2018.[8]
