Chad Knight (born October 24, 1970, in Sacramento, California)[1] is an American actor in gay pornography. He active throughout the 1990s. Between 1991 and 2004, he starred in 85 original films.[2][3] About half of these films were produced in the first two years of his career. He predominantly starred in gay films, and performed in several bisexual productions. Chad Knight considered himself a versatile bisexual performer who preferred to top, but was best known for his work as a bottom.[4]
Chad Knight entered the gay porn industry at the age of 18. He had befriended Jason Hunter, a "straight" gay porn star, who acknowledged he'd been doing gay features and introduced the idea to Chad Knight.
His first filming experience was Falcon's 1991 Compulsion: He's Gotta Have It! with co-star Dave Ruden.[citation needed] He claims this was his first gay sexual encounter.[4] He did 17 pictures that year and his first bisexual film, Big Switch 3: Bachelor Party. In 1992, he completed an additional 20 films while working for a variety of studios including Catalina, Falcon, All Worlds, HIS Video, Vivid and Huge Video.[citation needed]
He was largely absent on the scene in 1993, but returned in 1994, making 10 films. Over the next three years, Knight withdrew from the adult film industry. In 1995, he abandoned bisexual films because of the strains it put on his marriage.[4] In 1996, he did six films, including a bondage film, Trained to Obey by Grapik Arts Productions. In 1997, he did five films.[citation needed]
By mid-1998, he resumed a more private life. In 2002, he made a comeback, performing in six films for All Worlds. He made a few more films in 2003. In 2004, he did a major release for Falcon, Longshot, and then retired again.[5] His name continues to be affiliated with a multitude of subsequent video compilation productions.[citation needed]
Personal life[edit]
While in 9th grade and 16, he befriended his future wife, who was 21. They became best friends, which developed into a romance, and led to marriage in 1989. He married into a family with one toddler son, but quickly added his own with another boy and a girl. Knight said his wife "had a bit of a problem" watching him have sex with men at first, but was agreeable to it, as it paid well. Her greatest concern rested with the handful of bisexual films he did, often asking him to only engage in gay sex in such films.[4]
