Chagaia (Bengali: ছাগাইয়া) is a Village of Bhairab Bazar Upazila in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1]
Geography
Chagaia is located at 24°04′56″N 91°01′24″E / 24.082181°N 91.023410°E
. It shares borders with Nabipur in the north, Gokul Nagar in the west, Chagaia Outlet in the east and the Meghna River in the south. It has 420 households and a total area of 25.62 km². Chagaia is situated beside the Meghna River and Chagaia Outlet.
Demographics
As of the 2011 Bangladesh census, Chagaia has a population of 3405, with 1875 males and 1530 females. The village’s eighteen up population is 2412. Chagaia has an average literacy rate of 25% (7+ years).
