Chali people
The Chali people or Chalis (Chalikha: ཚ་ལི་ ,Wylie: Tsha-li) are a Tibetic ethnic group living primarily in the Mongar District of eastern Bhutan.[1][2] They speak Chalikha, a Bodish language of Bhutan.[3]

Demographics and Distribution[edit]
The Chali people numbering 1,800 live primarily in Wangmakhar, Gorsum and Tormazhong villages of Mongar District in eastern Bhutan, mainly around Chhali Gewog on east bank of Kuri Chhu River.[6][7] They speak the Chali language also known as Chalikha.[8][9] The primary religion practiced by the Chali people is Tibetan Buddhism.[10]
