Boluwatife Balogun (born May 13, 2011), known professionally as Champz, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter.[3] Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he gained initial recognition following the release of his debut extended play Champion's Arrival in 2025.[4]

Early life

Boluwatife Balogun[5] was born on May 13, 2011, in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria,[6] to Afrobeats singer Wizkid.[7] Originally from Ogun State, he was inspired by artists like J Hus, Asko, Nines, Clavish, and Drake.[8]

Career

In October 2025, Champz began sharing recordings of studio sessions on social media.[9][10][11]

On November 11, 2025, he released his debut extended play, Champion's Arrival.[12][13] The EP consists of eleven tracks. Each track entered the Nigerian charts,[14] and the EP entered the top 20.[15][16] The project received both positive and negative reviews.[17][18]

On December 12, 2025, he performed all songs from the EP on Glitch Africa.[19][20] On the same day, he was featured alongside Etiboy RB on Douglas29beat's single "Vagin". On March 20, 2026, Champz released his second extended play, Young Poet.[21][22][23]
