Chanda Bandh Satyagraha
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Chanda Band Satyagraha, also known as No list No Donation, was started by a Chicago-based Neonatologist and a former co-convener to NRI Cell. Dr. Munish Raizada launched against Aam Aadmi Party after they removed donor lists from the website in 2016. Aam Aadmi Party came into politics with one fundamental principle-Financial Transparency. It stated that it will seek donations from the public and in return, it will show all the records of donations to the public on its website. The party did show its donation lists in the beginning, but after coming to power in June 2016, it scrapped its donors' list from the party's website. This caused disillusion in many of the Aam Aadmi Party core supporters and volunteers. The satyagrahis of Chanda Band Satyagraha was stood at public places in Delhi with banners and placards which essentially convey the message: Take a Pledge not to donate to Aam Aadmi Party until it make its political funding public. At that time Income tax department had issued a notice to the Aam Aadmi Party over discrepancies in donors' lists but they have not taken any steps regarding the transparency in political donations. Munish Raizada had written an open letter to Aam Aadmi Party on Nov 25, 2016, asking it to come clean on its donations. Social activist Anna Hazare had also questioned Arvind Kejriwal through his letter about unfulfilled promises to him and the people. After that, he came out in open support for Chanda Bandh Satyagraha along with Munish Raizada.
