Channa torsaensis is a disputed species of fish in the Channidae family.[1][2] The species was collected in the Torsa River in West Bengal, India.[citation needed]
Naming dispute
Ralf Britz and colleagues say that Channa torsaensis "is not sufficiently diagnosed from C. quinquefasciata".[3]
Etymology
The species epithet torsaensis is named after the Torsa River from which they first collected the specimen.[citation needed]
