Charles "Charlie" Field (born 20 September 1993) is an English actor. On television, he is known for playing John Craven in Poldark on the BBC, and Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker in Genius: Einstein for National Geographic. On film, he played Prince Harry in Harry and Meghan: Becoming Royal for Lifetime.

Early Life[edit]

Field was born in Hammersmith, London.[1]. Growing up in a military family, he spent most of his childhood in Germany before going on to read English Literature at The University of East Anglia.

Career[edit]

Following graduation, Field was cast in a production of J. B. Priestley, 'The Roundabout' at the Park Theatre[2][3]. He made his screen debut in Genius: Einstein on National Geographic later that year[4][5].

In 2018 he joined the cast of Poldark on the BBC playing John Craven[6][7] and was later cast the following year as Prince Harry in Harry and Meghan: Becoming Royal for Lifetime[8][9]. In 2020, alongside director and regular collaborator Sam Ainsworth, Field co-wrote and starred in the short film, 'The Harbour' with James Dreyfus[10][11]
